Dr. Justin Shi is a distinguished Professor of Computer Science and former Chair of the Computer Science Department at Temple University in Pennsylvania. Recognized globally as one of the leading research scientists in blockchain and artificial intelligence, Dr. Shi is renowned for his innovative work addressing complex computing challenges through impossibility theories, foundational computer programming, and software safety.

His research focuses on arbitrarily reliable, network-scale high-performance computing and the infinite scaling of data-intensive, mission-critical service infrastructures. He is a pioneer in blockchain protocols and accountable reasoning systems, and holds multiple patents in infinitely scalable parallel computing.

Dr. Shi earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also completed his post-doctoral fellowship. He holds an M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China.
