Dr. Saiful Khandaker is a trailblazer in financial technology (Fintech) and the first Bangladeshi American to launch a company on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange. As the founder and former CEO of Fintech Ecosystem Development Corporation, he successfully raised $115 million in an IPO and led the company to a NASDAQ listing under the ticker symbol FEXD.

Currently, Dr. Khandaker serves as Chairman and Co-founder of SMC Blockchain Labs, where he is spearheading the development of the world’s first infinite-scaling Layer-.05 blockchain protocol—built to support the next generation of Blockchain, AI and quantum computing applications.

A lifelong technologist and entrepreneur, Khandaker began his career as a software engineer in the early 1990s, working with Fortune 100 companies including AT&T, BellSouth, Cox, and Delta. He led global software engineering teams and later, through his company Mi3 Holdings, provided custom software solutions to GE and other Fortune 500 clients.

Over the years, he has founded multiple fintech startups across the U.S., Europe, and South Asia. His roles have spanned CEO, Chief Product Officer, CTO, CFO, and head of operations, sales, and strategy. His contributions to innovation and technology have earned him several national and industry awards in ICT and business excellence.

Dr. Khandaker holds a Doctor of Management (DM), a Master of Science in Technology Management (MSTM), and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems (CIS).
